Rooted in New Zealand. Built on Trust. Growing Together.

Every brand has a beginning. For Yellow Bee Manuka, ours began in Christchurch, New Zealand, in 2020, with a simple ambition: to connect the distinctive Manuka honey of New Zealand with customers around the world.

Founded by Ahmad Mansoor Chakari, Yellow Bee grew from an interest in entrepreneurship, international trade and the opportunity to build meaningful connections between New Zealand honey producers and overseas markets.

We believed that a dependable honey business starts long before a jar reaches a customer. It begins with the people who produce the honey, the relationships behind its sourcing, and the care taken to understand quality and provenance.

That belief continues to shape who we are today.

A Vision That Began in Christchurch

Ahmad’s background in commerce and digital business helped shape his approach to building Yellow Bee. With an entrepreneurial mindset and an interest in international markets, he saw an opportunity to bring together New Zealand’s Manuka honey producers and customers seeking reliable supply.

Starting a business in an established industry meant learning to navigate supplier relationships, product requirements and the practical demands of international trade.

Rather than building our business around a single source, we developed relationships with independent beekeepers and honey producers across New Zealand. These partnerships have helped us build a flexible sourcing network and develop experience serving overseas customers.

For us, growth has always been about more than expanding a business. It is about building relationships that last.

Connected to New Zealand's Manuka Honey

Manuka honey begins with bees collecting nectar from the flowers of the native Manuka plant, Leptospermum scoparium.

Yellow Bee sources Manuka honey through a network of New Zealand beekeepers and honey producers, with sourcing connections across Tauranga, Auckland, Canterbury and Wellington. Our honey is processed and packed mainly in Tauranga through our supply arrangements.

Working with multiple producers allows us to source different MGO grades and coordinate orders according to product availability and customer requirements.

Behind every supply arrangement are people whose knowledge and work help bring the honey from its place of origin to the finished product. We value these relationships and the role they play in building a dependable supply business.

Quality You Can Understand

We believe trust begins with transparency.

Our approach to sourcing includes obtaining relevant product information, batch records and laboratory documentation from our suppliers. These records help support product identification, authenticity verification and the stated MGO grade of the honey we supply.

Our available MGO grades include MGO 83+, MGO 263+, MGO 514+ and MGO 829+, subject to product availability.

Each grade offers customers a different MGO concentration. We aim to provide clear product information so customers can better understand what they are choosing.

We also recognise that quality is about more than a number on a label. It includes knowing the product’s provenance, understanding the supporting documentation and working with suppliers who take product requirements seriously.

Building Bridges Beyond New Zealand

Since 2020, Yellow Bee has developed relationships with New Zealand honey producers and gained experience supplying international customers, including large-volume orders for Australia.

These experiences have strengthened our understanding of sourcing, export coordination and the importance of responsive communication.

Today, we are focused on growing our presence in Malaysia and building long-term relationships with local customers, importers, distributors and business partners.

We believe that successful international trade depends on understanding the needs of each market while maintaining a strong connection to the people and products at the source.

Looking Ahead

Our ambition is to establish Yellow Bee as a trusted international supplier of New Zealand Manuka honey.

Over the coming years, we aim to strengthen our Malaysian partnerships, develop our supply capabilities and explore further opportunities in international markets, including the Middle East.

As we grow, our guiding principles remain the same: dependable relationships, documented product quality, competitive value and a commitment to doing business responsibly.

From our beginnings in Christchurch to the partnerships we are building today, Yellow Bee continues to grow with a clear purpose.
